⭐ Hidden Origins of the Book of Kells

A new experimental archaeology project in Scotland is attempting to recreate medieval vellum using tools found at the Portmahomack monastery. Researchers believe this site may have been a major vellum‑working center — and possibly the true birthplace of the Book of Kells, challenging the long‑held belief that it was created on Iona. 🦴 Footprints Older Than the Great Lakes

Archaeologists in New Mexico have uncovered evidence of extremely ancient human presence — older than previously mapped North American timelines. The discovery adds to a growing body of finds suggesting our ancestors were building, inventing, and migrating far earlier than science once believed.

👻 3. British Family Considers Fleeing Home After Months of Paranormal Activity

A father in Settle, North Yorkshire, England reported months of strange disturbances in his apartment. After months of unexplained disturbances — doors opening and closing, objects moving, and the family cat reacting fearfully to a specific area — he set up cameras, which captured multiple eerie incidents. The activity escalated to the point where he felt drained, sleeping excessively, and began looking for a new place for his family to live.

Paranormal investigators are now reviewing the footage, and the case has gained traction as one of the more unsettling domestic hauntings. A real news reported through Coast to Coast AM / Nexus Newsfeed.

Previously in Bushranger’s Treasure

A photograph that shouldn’t exist led Michelle Cruise to the Gold Coast — and straight into a legend locals whisper about.

Ghostly lights. A bushranger's mark. Gold hidden, but an ancient skeleton found. Roots of a gum tree on the Nerang River have revealed another secret. The dead paid a toll. Is the river giving up its ghosts? Michelle tried to explain the ghost lights. And now, the case is unfolding.

Chapter Six

Part 1 - The Case

Tuesday Morning — The Case

Michelle reached the precinct just after nine, the sun already sharp on the windscreen as she pulled into the visitor bay. The building looked the same as it always had — unremarkable.

Inside, the air‑conditioning hummed. Phones rang. The officer at reception looked up, recognition brightening his face. He picked up the phone.

“Your daughter’s here, boss... Yes, I will.” He hung up, handed her a VISITOR plaque, and motioned her through. “He’s waiting for you.”

Michelle knocked on her father’s office door. He looked up as she stepped in.

“You just never fail to surprise me,” he said, with an amused chuckle.

“What?” Michelle settled in the visitor’s chair and sighed. “What did I do this time? Don’t tell me you weren’t expecting me?”

“I did not expect you to meddle in a police case,” he smirked. “And you came to see DI Borg, not me.”

She shrugged. “Martin’s not answering my call, and I need to talk to him.”

“That’s understandable. He’s with the victim’s parents.

“Lianne Foster,” Michelle nodded. “Sixteen. Poor girl...”

We have formally confirmed the identification.”

Sighing, Chief Cruise pointed at the screen. “Just going over her file.”

Michelle leaned closer. “Can I have a look?”

“No.” His expression tightened. “It’s an active case. A murder. You know I can’t show you anything.”

She held his gaze. “I’m not asking as your daughter. I’m offering my help.”

“It’s still no,” he said firmly.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

“Would you like a coffee while you’re waiting for Borg?” he asked, standing up. “Be back in ten.” He closed the door behind him.

Michelle turned the screen toward her.

The first page was the missing‑person report. Then witness statements. Search‑grid maps. And then something else. One of the witnesses — Lianne Foster’s friend, Hannah Price, seventeen, was killed in a hit‑and‑run, eight months after Lianne vanished.

Michelle skimmed the details — late afternoon, quiet road, driver never found. Hannah had been walking home from the gym. No signs of intoxication or drugs.

Accident? It sounded more like another murder, Michelle thought, pulse quickening.

She studied the photocopy of a notebook. Lianne’s handwriting. Drawings of the bushranger symbol. Margins filled with variations. Arrows. Coordinates. Fragments of phrases — He wasn’t finished... The mark is a warning... Find the second one.

Michelle swallowed. This wasn’t a teenager doodling. What was it — a message?

A knock on the door made her jump. She turned the screen back to the exact angle she’d found it.

Martin stepped in, looking serious.

“Hi,” he said quietly. “Boss said you were waiting for me?”

“I do,” Michelle murmured. “You said if I think of anything, I should call you. But then you forget to switch your phone on.”

“Sorry.” Martin shrugged, not bothering with an explanation. He reached into his pocket. “There’s something Lianne’s mother gave me.” He showed her an evidence sleeve.

Inside was a scrap of paper — an old, yellowed, hand‑drawn map.

Michelle inhaled deeply. “Where did she get this?”

Martin shook his head. “No idea.”

“Professor Adler might have one,” Michelle said, grabbing her car key. “Come on, let’s go.”

She met her father in the doorway, holding a steaming coffee mug. He looked at her, surprised. “You leaving?”

“Yeah, but I’ll bring Martin back as soon as we finish,” she said. “I just need him to look at something.” She kissed his cheek. “Love you, Dad.”

Before he could protest, she was already out the door, striding briskly toward the exit.

Inspector Borg glanced at his boss. Cruise raised an eyebrow, but nodded his agreement.

More next Friday.
