👻UK: Michelham Priory, East Sussex: Surge in Paranormal Activity Alarms Investigators

A routine overnight investigation at the 800‑year‑old Michelham Priory took an unexpected turn this week when a paranormal team reported a spike in unexplained activity. The priory, already known for its resident “grey lady” and a history of monastic hauntings, produced what investigators called “the most active night in years.”

Footsteps were heard pacing the upper corridor long after the team confirmed the building was empty. A heavy wooden door opened on its own during a vigil in the Tudor kitchen, and several members reported sudden temperature drops that lasted only seconds. One investigator claimed to see a figure standing near the moat before it vanished into the fog.

Local historians say the priory has always been “restless,” but this week’s events have renewed interest in its darker corners.

🕯️ Australia: Wollombi Museum, NSW: Night Investigation Yields Shadow Figures and Whispered Voices

A limited‑ticket night investigation at the Wollombi Museum left several participants shaken after multiple reports of shadow figures moving between exhibits. The museum, housed in one of the region’s oldest buildings, has long been associated with strange noises and cold spots — but this week’s activity was unusually intense.

Witnesses described a tall, dark silhouette crossing the hallway near the old jail cell display. Moments later, a whispering voice was heard behind a group standing near the agricultural tools exhibit, though no one was present. Temperature readings dropped sharply in the rear storeroom, prompting investigators to halt the session.

Local guides say the building “has never been quiet,” but this is the strongest cluster of reports in recent memory.

🏚️ Canada: Calgary’s Heritage Park: Staff Report New Sightings as Ghost Tours Resume

Heritage Park reopened its seasonal ghost tours this month, and staff say the activity began even before the first visitors arrived. A woman in a long dress was reportedly seen standing at an upstairs window of the Prince House — a location already tied to several past sightings. When staff checked the room, it was empty.

Lights flickered repeatedly in the Sam Livingston House despite electrical inspections earlier in the week, and a guide reported hearing a child’s laughter in the deserted schoolhouse during a pre‑tour walkthrough.

Tour organizers say the park’s historic buildings “hold their stories tightly,” and this season may reveal more than usual.

Bushranger’s Treasure

There’s no new Bushranger’s Treasure chapter this week. I’ve reached the point in the story where the next scenes belong in the book first, not the newsletter. They’re too close to the heart of the mystery, and I want them to land with their full weight — not in a half‑revealed, early‑draft form.

If you’ve been enjoying the serial so far, you’ll be able to read the rest properly soon: either as an ARC when it’s ready, or in the full book when it releases. Thank you for your patience.
